Almost mid-term: Personality test and Career assessments.

College has been a challenge, a much appreciated challenge though. It is has helped me figure out the kind of person that I am. When I was 20 years old it was suggested to take the Brigg’s Myers personality test. My result was: INTJ – introversion, intuition, thinking, judgment. After taking that test the first time I didn’t read too much into it. I didn’t really look too much into detail with my results. This was until I felt like I was going through some change in my life; My second time taking the test I got INFJ. I was confused to believe which personality type I was. So, I decided to wait until I started college again to take this test again to test my personality type hypothesis. Was I going through some odd chemical imbalance when I took the Brigg’s test again. The results ending results: INTJ: 2 – INFJ:1

I have decided to test myself again in October after midterms. My brother and I are will be retaking this test after we stay up endless nights studying and doing homework before midterms.

Brigg’s Myers personality traits: 

“INTJs are ambitious, self-confident, deliberate, long-range thinkers. Many INTJs end up in engineering or scientific pursuits, although some find enough challenge within the business world in areas which involve organizing and strategic planning. They dislike messiness and inefficiency, and anything that is muddled or unclear. They value clarity and efficiency, and will put enormous amounts of energy and time into consolidating their insights into structured patterns.”

People in the investigative category often have a strong desire to understand cause and effect, and solve puzzles and problems. They often work in jobs that are scientific in nature. Their work often involves the analysis of data, using formulas, graphs and numbers. Investigative types typically prefer to work independently, and with minimum supervision. People in this category generally enjoy using computers, solving math problems, interpreting formulas, and thinking abstractly.
